Portfolios had been shown, adjustments had been done. Mock-ups have been cut and models have been built. Even taxis had been ordered - we are leaving for Finland tomorrow morning at 5am (not a second later!!!) for a workshop hosted by FinnForest. The fact that it is the Finn's first weekend of Spring celebration (as promised, not a single adult will be sober throughout the weekend) adds to our excitement and anxiety. Depends who you're asking...

First day of term 3, it is never too late to start a blog about our shared experience at the Architectural Association. We are 10 students of intermediate school, Unit 2. As opposed to other architecture students around the world, in the next 12 weeks we will not be building architectural models, but rather a 1:1 scale pavilion. First at Hooke Park, at a workshop the school owns in Dorset, South-West England. Then, the final assembly will be on site at Bedford Square, London, right outside the school. We have been working hard this year under the rigorous yet supportive guidance of Charles Walker and Martin Self from Arup's AGU. And it is Simon Whittle's scheme that was chosen after an excruciating selection process. Now that we are all taking part in its modification, planning and building we are looking forward to having our end of the year party under the roof of this unique structure. So if you are in the neighborhood around July, join us for a glass of wine.
